Antenatal education


Private classes - Can be completed in your own home at a suitable time.

4 x 2 hour sessions covering – During these sessions we would explore the normal labour and birth experience and a wide variety of relaxation and pain relief measures both natural and medical. We would focus on the location you have chosen to give birth, be that hospital or in the home and how this may impact your labour and birth. Together we will discuss the many possible scenarios that may arise to inform and prepare you and your partner. Birth plans will also be a focus as will your support network for labour, birth and beyond. We will complete these sessions by moving beyond birth and discuss feeding options and the normal newborn and their behaviour.


Cost - $300 per couple, extra support people $50 each for the series

All day Group Classes - Minimum 3 couples, maximum 6 couples.

One day class from 11 am til 5.30pm. Afternoon tea provided, bring a plate to share for lunch!
During the day we will examine normal labour and birth, focusing on the pain of labour and its origins for individuals. How you chose to approach labour and birth will open to various methods of relaxation and pain relief both natural and medical. We will examine a wide variety of scenarios and possible outcomes to enable you and your birth team to be as prepared as possible for your birth. We will focus on the importance of support people and birth plans and how you can stay focused attaining the birth you desire. We will discuss life after birth and brainstorm for ideas on settling your new baby, coping mechanisms and feeding methods. Wear comfortable clothing as there will be a heavy focus on being active and lots of practising birth positions!


Cost- $200 per couple, extra support people $70 for the day

Antenatal Breastfeeding education

Discuss any pre existing concerns or problems you may have in relation to breastfeeding. Explore the benefits and importance of breastfeeding and how it can easily be incorporated into your life.

Cost - $60 for 1 hour

Postnatal Breastfeeding

Assistance after the birth of your baby should the need arise. I will observe feeds and give advice. This can be done in hospital or in the home. I am a qualified IBCLC which is an international qualification for lactation consultants.

Cost - $120 initial visit 2 hours, $50 per hour thereafter
